JARVIS

An assistant that runs on your own machine.

Case study – the brief, the solution and what's under the hood.

My own project.

Email from several inboxes, a calendar, orders from the website, messages and the phone – and just one person for all of it. I wanted an assistant that keeps an eye on it for me, speaks Czech and, above all, doesn't send my data to the cloud.

That's how JARVIS came to be. It runs around the clock on my Mac, I use it every day – and I now build the same assistant to order for other people and companies.

What I built.

Email and messages

  • Sorts several inboxes and reports only what matters
  • Drafts a reply – sends only after my “yes”

Calendar and day

  • Morning briefing: schedule, email, what's urgent
  • Reminders and events by voice

Runs this website

  • Website orders: contact into the client list and a draft reply
  • Publishes free slots and puts meetings into the calendar

Watches the services

  • Service status on the /stav page
  • A weekly traffic report

Security first

  • Ignores instructions hidden in emails or web pages
  • Never reads passwords or sensitive notes

Always at hand

  • Mac, iPhone, Apple Watch and web
  • Notifications straight to the phone

Under the hood.

  • Plain Python, no framework
  • Runs as a macOS service
  • A free local AI model
  • Paid model only with consent
  • Sends nothing without confirmation
  • Web push notifications
